The Floral Park Fire Explorer Post is an active post registered with the Boy Scouts of
America. The unit, Post 129 is chartered to the Floral Park Fire Department. The posts
specialty is firefighting.
The Explorers serves as an organization where youths between the ages of 14 - 18 can get hands on knowledge of volunteer firefighting.
Training and business meetings are held on every first & third Sunday of each month. These trainings take place with all the companies of the Floral Park Fire Department . Hose operations, search and rescue, Aerial operations and vehicle extrication are just some of the exciting topics that the Explorers are trained in.
All meetings start at 10:00 AM and are held at Fire Headquarters, which is located at the village hall on Floral Blvd and Vernon St. Anyone wishing to join the Explorers should come down on that day at that time.
The Explorers are a active branch of the Floral Park Fire Department. They respond to the scene of General Alarms within the village and assist the department with crowd control and changing air tanks and other special assignments that the Chief may give.
